Lancy Varghese

Lancy Varghese is the Business Head of South India and is responsible for business development and execution in the organization. On joining Methods in 2019, he started the southern Indian operations to help the organization expand. He operates the business from Bangalore in Karnatka and leads the firm’s focus on overseas business development. Under his leadership, Methods has spread its wings to the leather industry as well.

His area of specialization lies in Industrial Engineering, Process Optimization and Lean Manufacturing where he has demonstrated consistent success in bringing change and sustainable growth to organizations. He has the ability to achieve focused results, while motivating team members and getting the best out of people. Lancy specializes in blending Information Technology with Apparel Manufacturing.

An emphatic 22 years of Apparel Production Operations experience, with over 17 years in Running/Setting up factories in 3 Indian states and Ethiopia/Africa, backed by another initial 5 years of strong operational fundamentals in Industrial Engineering and Planning to start with. An Engineering degree in Industrial and Production Engineering coupled with a postgraduate degree in Finance, and a Diploma in Lean Manufacturing gave the right platform to take off initially. Starting off from an initial 100+ machines to building it to 1500+ machines spanning over 5 manufacturing locations, heading the entire gamut of production operations for UB Group’s apparel business is one of the major high point of the career. As is working on Sai Lakshmi creations Pvt. ltd.’s, PT Sainath group’s India Operations, in the initial project phase as an Senior Industrial Engineer and 5 years later heading the same plant as head of operations, for what is considered to be one of the best plants set up in India. Own a lot to initial exposure and training received at Gokaldas Images, Bangalore in the initial stage of career, and to 5 years at Exotic Exports, Delhi for a 360-degree view of apparel industry. Being leading teams, with a fair proportion of Expats, which has always given an international perspective to all projects involved.
